About

They say the best way to find your passion in life is to ask yourself the question, “If money were no object, what would I do with my time?” Without hesitation, our answer would be EXPLORE! We’d hike, bike, kayak, paddleboard, swim, take a bus, hop a train, fly, sled, zip-line, surf, ride a camel, skate, dive, or simply walk our way to some sort of new adventure every day.

We’re Melody and Angie (better known as The Minimalists Next Door). Since 2012, we’ve been on a mission to downsize our lives and downshift our priorities to focus only on the things that really matter to us – good food, great relationships, and amazing experiences.

Not quite your typical travel blog, Going Sightseeing is more of a journal. It’s a place where we can store the memories of the things we see and do. Yet at the same time, we hope that it will be a place where you can find inspiration for your own adventures.

From back roads to beaches to our own backyard…we want to see it all!

Come on! We’re Going Sightseeing!
